Beginning October 1, 2017, Alto Lakes Water & Sanitation District customers who have a metered service and are required to pay the residential solid waste monthly fee, may dispose of forest waste from their Alto residence for free. The Board of Directors has decided to try this on a temporary basis to gain information for a possible permanent ordinance change. The Board of Directors reserves the right discontinue this study at any time should there be any signs of abuse.
Again, this service is only for metered service customers who pay the residential solid waste fee. All other customers (lot owner, non-district) will still be required to pay applicable forest waste disposal fees.
